dues are due!!! If you have received this
newsletter, you are listed as a member of B.C.S.E.T. The executive is hoping to catch
up on all of the dues that are in arrears. If your name is on the list below, your dues are
current to 2007 (many are current to the end
of 2006, thank you) but if you are not listed, we hope that you will
contact Cayle to ensure that you are up to date. We plan to review this again at
the fall meeting and any members that remain in arrears will not continue
to receive the newsletter. v

Distance Education CourseIntroduction to Electroneurophysiology I This course introduces basic concepts and principles related to the electronics and recording of cerebral electrical activity (EEG). The course begins with a thorough review of the core topics in physics, math, and electronics necessary to appreciate the recording and amplification of biological signals. Basic elements of electricity, physical properties of current and charge are covered at a level suitable for experienced technologists. Other topics include: differential amplifiers, filters, characteristics of brain waves, electrical safety, digitization, waveform recognition and localization of cerebral activity using standard EEG techniques and procedures. PEDIATRIC E.N.D. ELECTIVETechnologists are invited to observe how we do EEGs, intensive monitoring, EPs, or nerve conduction & EMGs on pediatric patients at BC Children's Hospital. This opportunity is open to technologists who are currently employed full-time in an E.N.D. department in British Columbia. The learning experience can be customized to the needs and desires of the visiting technologist, and may last from one day to one week.
